Mahdi Is From My Progeny – Holy Prophet of Islam (sawa)

There is a rich treasure of several thousands of traditions about the Mahdi which can be found in both Shiite and Sunni books of reference. Of these, there are several traditions which highlight that the Mahdi is from the progeny of the Holy Prophet of Islam (sawa), is from the lineage of Fatemah, the daughter of the Holy Prophet (sawa) and from the Ahlul Bayt (as), the household of the Prophet of Islam (sawa).For example, see these traditions,

The Messenger of Allah (sawa) said, The world will not perish until a man among the Arabs appears whose name matches my name. (Sahih al-Tirmidhi volume 9 page 74)

The Holy Prophet (sawa) said, Mahdi is from me having broad forehead, prominent nose and will fill the earth with equity and justice as it will be filled with injustice. He will rule for 7 years. (Sunan Ibne Dawood, chapter Kitabul Mahdi, tradition 2485)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, Mahdi is from my progeny, his face is like full moon, his colour is that of Arabs, his body is like Israeli, will fill the earth with justice like it would be filled with injustice. The inhabitants of the sky and the earth would be happy with his kingdom. He will rule for 20 years. (Firdausul Akhbaar, tradition 6940, page 496)

Imam Ali (as) said Al Mahdi is from us, Ahlul Bayt, Allah will set his affairs in one night. (Firdausul Akhbaar, tradition 6942, page 497)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “How it would be when Isa Ibne Maryam will descend and your Imam would be from among you?” (Jameul Usool Fi Ahadees Rasool, tradition 7808)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “If there remains only one day from this world, Allah (swt) will prolong that day to such an extent that Allah (swt) will raise a man from my progeny whose name will be similar to that of my name and he will fill the earth with justice and equity.” (Jame’ul Usool Fi Ahadees Rasul, chapter 7810)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, Mahdi is from me having broad forehead and protracted nose. (Ma’aalemus Sonam page 344 ch Babul Mahdi).

In another tradition , the Holy Prophet (sawa) said, The Hour (Qiyamat) will not be established until this world will not be filled with injustice and tyranny and a man from my progeny will rise and will fill the earth with justice and equity. (Al Mustadrak Ala Sahihain page 557)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said If there remains nothing from this world except a night , a man will rule in it from my Ahlul Bayt. (Mojamul Kabeer, tradition 10216)

In another tradition , the Holy Prophet of Islam (sawa) said, Mahdi is from my progeny, from the sons of Fatemah. (Ma’aalemus Sonam page 344 chapter Babul Mahdi)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “If there remains a single day from this world, Allah (swt) will prolong that day to such an extent that a man from my progeny will come.” (Sunane Tirmizi chapter 52: Maa Jaaa fil Mahdi, tradition 2231)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “If there remains nothing from this world except a day, Allah will send a man from my Ahlul Bayt who will fill it (world) with justice as it would be filled with tyranny.” (Awnul Mabud Sharhe Sunane Abi Dawood by Mohd Shamsud Haqul Azim, chapter Awwal Kitabul Mahdi, tradition 4263)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “Al Mahdi is from my progeny, from the sons of Fatemah.” (Awnul Mabud Sharhe Sunane Abi Dawood by Mohd Shamsud Haqul Azim, chapter Awwal Kitabul Mahdi, tradition 4264)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “If there remains nothing from this world except a day, Allah would extend that day to such extent that a man would be send from my Ahlul Bayt whose name would be similar to that of my name.” (At Tajul Jaame Lil Usool Fi Ahadees Rasool by Sheikh Mansoor ibn Ali)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “Al Mahdi is from my progeny from the sons of Fatemah (sa).” (At Tajul Jaame Lil Usool Fi Ahadees by Shaykh Mansoor ibn Ali)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said “Mahdi is from me having broad forehead ,prominent nose and he will fill the world with equity and justice.” (Nazrat Fi Ahadisul Mahdi by Mohd Khizr Husain al Misri)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “If there remains nothing from this world (Hour) except a day, Allah would send a man from my Ahlul Bayt who will fill it (world) with justice as it would be filled with tyranny.” (Nazrat Fi Ahadisul Mahdi By Mohd Khizr Husain al Misri)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “Mahdi is frob my Ahlul Bayt. Surely he will fill the earth with justice.” ((Al Mahdi Muntazar by Abul Fazl Abdullah ibn Mohd ibne Siddiqui Hasani)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “Mahdi is from my son, his face is like brighting star.” (Zakhaerul Uqba Fi Manaqib Zawail Qurba)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “Mahdi is from me. He has a broad forehead and protracted nose. He will fill the world with equity and justice as it would filled with injustice and tyranny and He will rule for 70 years.” (Kitabun Nahayat Al Fitan Wal Malahimur By Al Hafiz Abil Fida Ismael bin Umar bin Kaseer volume 1)

Holy Prophet (sawa) said, “Al Mahdi is from my progeny from the sons of Fatemah.” (Kitabun Nahayat Al Fitan Wal Malahimur by Al Hafiz Abil Fida Ismail bin Umar bin Kaseer volume 1)
