“Do they wait for anything but the final fulfillment? On the day when the final fulfillment comes, those who neglected it before will say, Indeed the messengers of our Lord came with the truth. Are there for us (now) any intercessors that they may intercede for us? Or can we be sent back, that we may act otherwise than we used to act?”
Imam Sadiq (as) said, The Taweel (hidden interpretation) of this verse is different from the apparent meaning understood from it. This verse refers to the day of the rising of the Qaem (as) and the Day of Judgement.
“Those who neglected it” are those who neglected the Qaem (as); who will say on the Day of Judgement, “Indeed the messengers of our Lord came with the truth. Are there for us (now) any intercessors that they may intercede for us? Or can we be sent back, that we may act otherwise than we used to act?” (Tafseer Al Qummi volume 1 page 235)
