وَالطُّورِ وَكِتَابٍ مَّسْطُورٍ فِي رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ وَالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ
“By the mount, and the book written down on a parchment unrolled, by the ever-peopled house”
Imam Sadiq (as) said, On the night of the rising of the Qaem (as), the Messenger of Allah (sawa), Ameerul Momeneen (as) and Jibraeel will come down to Mount Hira. Then Jibraeel will go to the Qaem (as) and ask him to join them.
When the Qaem (as) joins them, the Messenger of Allah (as) will take out a parchment from inside his clothes and give it to Ameerul Momeneen (as)
Then (the Prophet (sawa)) will tell (Ameerul Momeneen (as)) to write the following:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
This is the decree of Allah, His Messenger, and Ali bin Abi Talib to someone, son of someone.
Imam (as) added, And he will mention the name of the Qaem (as) and the name of his father. This is the meaning of the verse, “By the mount and the book written down on a parchment unrolled”. “The book written down” refers to that which Ameerul Momeneen (as) will write. “Parchment unrolled” refers to the parchment that the Messenger of Allah will take out from inside his clothes and will give to Ameerul Momeneen (as).
I asked, “Does ‘the ever-peopled house” refer to the Messenger of Allah (sawa)?
Imam (as) replied, “Yes. The Messenger of Allah (sawa) will be the dictator and Ali (as) will be the writer.” (Dalaelal Imama page 478)
